Does God Want Me To Be Happy?

Life, for many people, is a unending pursuit of happiness. The search usually leads them in search of pleasure and prosperity. Is this what happiness is all about? Does God even want us to be happy in this life? Perhaps that seems like an odd question but it’s one that many people ask and many more make false assumptions about. Some attempt to justify sinful decisions by claiming that God wants us all to be happy. After all, if something makes us happy then why would God see anything wrong with it? Yes, God wants us to be happy. But is this what the Lord means by happiness? In this broadcast of Let the Bible Speak, we look at God’s definition and prescription for happiness.

How many opportunities has God graciously given you to repent? The long history of humankind is the story of God unfolding His plan to redeem sinful man through the channel of those who were called His people. They were given more advantage and opportunity than any other people on earth. However, Jesus vividly illustrated how the religious leaders of His day rebuffed the overtures of God.
